  • AMR Conducts Startup Survey for Aghaez

    AMR is excited to be a part of another ground-breaking study, this time focusing on the startup scene in Afghanistan. AMR will be conducting surveys of recently launched or soon-to-be-launched businesses throughout the country, in order to gain a wider perspective on the challenges that entrepreneurs face in the current economic conditions. AMR is assisting in establishing a database of startups in Kabul, as well as preparing and launching a phone-based survey of startups. The final version of the report will be written and designed by AMR, and published in early 2017.

  • AMR Conducts Sector Monitoring for Sunich

    In its second project with Sunich, a leading Iranian beverage producer, AMR is conducting long-term monitoring of several areas of the Afghan market that are of interest for the popular brand. Earlier in 2016, AMR conducted a nationwide survey of retailers for Sunich, which established a baseline of information on competiting brands and prices in the Afghan market.

  • AMR Monitors Mohib Tower Advertisements

  • AMR Produces USAID Video for TetraTech

    11 October 2016

    Through the summer and fall of 2016, AMR founder and CEO David Fox was filming and editing a video that outlined the work of the Women’s Leadership Development Program, an initiative funded by USAID and implemented by TetraTech. The filming took place in three provinces, Kabul, Balkh, and Herat, with all video editing and graphic animation produced in-house by AMR’s media professionals.

  • AMR Monitors Coca Cola 2016 Spring and Summer Campaigns

    In August 2016, AMR conducted a full media audit of all Coca Cola advertisements from March to August 2016. The monitoring was only possible as a result of AMR’s 6-month archive of video files that reached back to February 2016. Following the signing of the contract, AMR was able to complete the assignment within two weeks of the receipt of the campaign media plans.

  • AMR Monitors TV and Radio in Khost

    21 September 2016

    In September 2016 AMR completed its 4th provincial monitoring project, this time in Khost, for a local Afghan NGO named Hewad Reconstruction, Health & Humanitarian Assistance Committee. The project involved both television and radio monitoring in Khost City, as well as monitoring two Kabul-based TV and radio signals. AMR has also conducted provincial media monitoring for Hewad in Balkh, Herat, and Nimruz provinces.

  • AMR Conducts Shampoo A/B Testing for Golrang

    In June 2016 AMR conducted A/B testing of two shampoo formulas for Golrang Industrial Group on middle and high income Afghan consumers. The survey pool consisted of 100 consumers, 50 male and 50 female, and the results of the study directly influenced Golrang’s decision on which formula to introduce to the Afghan market later that summer.

  • AMR Conducts National Beverage Study

    Throughout the summer of 2016, AMR planned and implemented the most advanced market research study ever conducted in Afghanistan. The study was based on surveys of small, medium, and large retailers in Afghanistan’s five major commercial centers: Kabul, Herat, Mazar-i-Sharif, Jalalabad, and Kandahar. In total, 1,137 retailers were surveyed, bringing the national margin of error under 3%. The data collection was conducted using tablets equipped with a survey application, and each survey included photos of storefronts and GPS data marking each retailer’s location.

  • AMR Renews Contract with Etisalat

    28 February 2016

    In January 2015, AMR began conducting media monitoring for Etisalat, one of the leading telecommunications companies in Afghanistan. This contract was renewed in February 2016 to cover the full 2016 calendar year. The project involves the monitoring of all Etisalat ad placements on TV, radio, and in print, as well as the monitoring of all competitor ad placements on the Top 20 Afghan TV stations during primetime hours.

  • AMR Conducts Employment Study for Jobs.af

    Beginning in December 2015, AMR began planning and then implementing a phone-based and online survey of both job-seekers and employers in Afghanistan. The purpose of the study was to give Afghan Government policymakers and international stakeholders credible data to make decisions on boosting employment opportunities in Afghanistan. The study involved 1,185 phone surveys of job-seekers, 1,235 online surveys of job-seekers, and 500 phone surveys of employers.

  • AMR Provides Business Consulting Services for Kam Group

    From October to December 2015, AMR performed a number of business consulting and communications activities for the Kam Group of Companies. These services included reviewing, advising on, and editing two business plans under consideration, the production of a company profile for Kam International Oil, and the design and launch of an updated website for Kam Group.

  • AMR Oqaab Monitoring

    5 July 2015

    AMR is proud to support the launch of Afghanistan's first digital television service, branded Oqaab ("Eagle" in Dari). The 10-week campaign involved the monitoring of 13 TV stations and 9 radio stations that broadcast in Kabul.

    Following the acceptance of AMR CEO David Fox as a member of the European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research (ESOMAR), the company has now been listed on the official ESOMAR international directory of market research agencies. The process involved an interview with a current ESOMAR member, and the submission of client references.

  • AMR Monitors Golrang TV Campaign

    AMR recently completed a 1-month media monitoring (advertisement tracking) project for the Tehran-based Golrang Industrial Group. The project involved monitoring of two advertisements on 3 national TV stations, as well as tracking competitor advertisements on 12 national TV stations. Competitor companies tracked included Taimaz, Hadia, Nilab, Wahab, Net, and Surf Excel. AMR is proud of its role assisting foreign companies doing business in Afghanistan by providing critical data on the implementation of marketing campaigns and assessing potential competitors.
